Instruction for Author


         Journal of Systems Science and Mathematical Sceince is a quarterly journal distributed internationally, seeking to publish high-quality papers on theories, methodologies and applications of systems science and complexity science. It focuses on systems theory, systems engineering, systems control, systems modeling and statistics, systems management, intelligent systems, complex systems, and complexity science for the best benefit of the scientific community in systems science, and for a promotion of developments in the emerging complexity science.

         Contributions from all over the world are welcome. The journal publishes papers of originality in theory and methodology, of innovativeness in practical applications, as well as insightful survey papers. The manuscripts should be prepared in accordance with the following instructions:

1. The manuscript should be written in English with an informative abstract of
no more than 200 words and 5 key words maximum.

2. The manuscript should be concise and grammatically correct. It should be typed in double space on one side of A4 papers with good quality. Each paper requires an abbreviated title with no more than 40 English characters for running head.

3. Authors are requested to typewrite all letters and mathematical symbols clearly. Papers should be typeset in TeX (or AMSTeX, LaTeX) if possible.

4. References should be cited in the text with numerals in square brackets, e.g. [3]. All references should appear and be numbered in a separate bibliography at the end of the paper, e.g.,

5. Manuscripts should be submitted in triplicate, with a cover letter indicating the name, mailing address, telephone number and e-mail address of the corresponding author. Authors should submit their manuscripts to

6. Page proofs will be sent to the corresponding author. The proofs must be corrected and returned within three days of receipt otherwise publication may be delayed. Alteration to proofs other than correction of printer's errors may be charged to the authors.

7. Each corresponding author will receive 25 free offprints. Additional copies may be ordered for purchase when the proofs are returned.

8. Manuscripts are received for review with the understanding that the same work has not been published and is not being submitted for publication elsewhere.
